“Our Easter Along The River” book launch filled me with so much joy! Families, educators, children, and cultural enthusiasts gathered for a vibrant celebration of storytelling, heritage, and community.
The event opened with an engaging discussion about the importance of cultural identity in children’s literature. Parents and educators shared their excitement about finally seeing authentic African stories represented in books their children can grow up with.

The conversations were heartfelt, inspiring, and filled with hope for the next generation of African storytellers. The highlight for many was the energetic drumming and dancing session! Children didn’t hold back lol. They jumped in with excitement, moving joyfully to the vigorous beats that filled the space. Their laughter, wide smiles, and confident steps reflected everything this book stands for: cultural pride, connection, and community.
