On our road trip to Cape 3 Points in Ghana’s Western Region, we stumbled upon something unexpected and amazing— a rubber plantation!

Rows of tall, slender trees stretched as far as the eye could see, each one dripping with milky white fresh latex, being collected in attached black rubber pails. It was like finding hidden treasure!

The kids were utterly fascinated, trying to draw links between the gummy substance slowing dripping down the bark of the trees and the hard rubber products we used at home. Their young minds could never have guessed that rubber came from nature. It was a life lesson that made us appreciate that rubber is a whole world of agriculture, science, and hard work. Seeing the plantation up close made us appreciate the effort behind everyday products.

Sometimes the best adventures aren’t on the map, they’re the unplanned surprises that leap out during a long and tiring adventure. 🌿✨ #Cape3Points #WesternRegionGhana #RoadTripAdventures #HiddenGems #LearningOnTheGo #TravelWithKids #ExploreGhana #RubberPlantation
